Daniel Turner, Seminar Founder and Host
Since 1973, when he first traveled to Andalusia to study traditional Spanish-style guitar construction, Daniel Turner has worked at developing a world-wide reputation as one of the very few, and certainly one of the finest, designers and builders of high-quality custom-made Spanish guitars. Each one of his custom-made instruments is individually handcrafted using only the finest of materials and a synergistic combination of "old world" and "new world" techniques. The acoustic characteristics of his guitars are distinctly "Spanish" and are often finely-tuned based on the requirements and playing style of each guitarist ... some of whom frequently cross-over between classical, flamenco, latin, jazz, pop, and alternative forms of music.
When he is not traveling internationally to give seminars and exhibit his instruments, he is in his workshop and studio on the West coast of Canada. Further information about the guitarmaker and his instruments is available online in English, Spanish, German, Japanese, and Chinese. |
